How does China’s Belt and Road Initiative strengthen or weaken their global position or restore their global importance in the political and economic realm? Three keywords: Belt Road Initiative, Silk Road Economic Belt, Silk Road Fund, Belt and Road, The research for my final project will focus on the questions below: 1. What issues occurred with this project? 2. How will this Initiative effect other countries? 3. How did this Initiative come about and how will the Initiative help the economy? 4. How will this initiative reroute economic activity? 5. Will the development of soft and hard infrastructure help with signing traded deals? 6. Why is the Belt and Road initiative crucial for China’s global importance in the economic and political realm? Answering the questions above will help support and define my research question. I will be researching these questions through Primary and Secondary Sources through scholarly sources. The Shapiro Library will be my main location for sources, but I will also be using other databases: JSTOR Primary Sources, Gale Primary Sources, National Archives, Library of Congress, and ProQuest Two sources can be found below, these will include the Primary and Secondary sources.
