We do not get to hear the French’s side of history and how it took place. Compare how your historical event is represented in your primary sources. Both the sources are made by people who were on the front lines of the Haitian Revolution that led to their independence. Both have a good understanding of the life they want the Haitian people to live after becoming free. These sources have provided a clear understanding of the rise of Haiti’s win and how its people should be treated after. 2
