Can recidivism rates be reduced by providing greater support in prisons? The importance by governors in their state addresses is to reduce recidivism rates. There have also been task forces established to focus on re-entry into their countries and cities from sheriffs, mayors, and other local leaders, (Bureau of Justice System, 2014).
