If a World War 3 takes place, what will be the economic effects
of it, especially on Bangladesh
First-Year Thesis, Full Draft

IDH 2010

Rebecca R. Todd
There is high tension among the world powers and the many wars that are taking place, such as between Russia and the US, the combination of the Eurozone crisis and Russian aggression, China and India also deal with population crises that could erupt unexpectedly in the next fifty years, might add up, and a large-scale disaster might happen. The possibility of a third World War seems to be increasing day by day judging the current situation. Hence, the thought of
my home country Bangladesh came to my mind – if World War 3 (WW3) takes place, what will happen to my home country and the family I left behind there? Will I have to back? Will my mom move to a safer place? And finally, Bangladesh is currently not doing so well. How dire will the consequences be for the country? Before getting into the specifics and research-related content of my thesis statement, I want to explain my purpose for choosing this topic and my personal connection to this. I had mentioned my mom in the studio session in class and how it was hard to say goodbye to her and the trials and efforts it took to adjust to the changes that come with being an international student
in a new place thousands of miles away from home. When she returned to Bangladesh, the first thing she mentioned was how inflation was presently at its worst in Bangladesh, and the exchange rate from dollar to Bangladeshi taka was soaring daily at an alarming rate. Additionally, even globally the economic world is not doing so well and can fall apart if provoked.
Recently, there has been a transition in international relations toward global geopolitics, as well as newfound competitive pressure among the great powers. As explained by Steven Colatrella:
In recent months, world politics has taken a turn from an emphasis on issues of globalization to those of geopolitics. The years between the 2008 financial crash and the Spring of 2014 had been dominated by the themes of austerity, investor confidence,
ratings agencies, Global Governance, and a gradual and incomplete reeling in of US military commitments in conflict zones. But since the US-EU sponsored coup provoked the Ukraine crisis, and with the conflicts over the South China Seas Islands and renewed US military commitments in West Asia in the mix, economics appears to have given way to politics. Thus, we find a new emphasis on geopolitical competition, NATO aggressiveness, great power conflict and competing hegemonic contenders. (Colatrella, 2015)
World War I was stimulated by the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria, and it lasted over the span of four years from 1914 to 1918. It was a major war which caused many dire
consequences, especially for traders and the stock market. ‘WW1 caused a financial panic. The fear of a massive selling from traders and the share trading method at that time led some majors stock market in Europe to shut down. This event also made some desperate traders sell their shares in over-the-counter markets (Taylor. August 1st, 2014).’ The instability created in Europe by World War I (1914-18) laid the groundwork for another international conflict, World War II, which erupted two decades later and proved even more devastating. Adolf Hitler, the dictator of the Nazi Party, rose to power in an economically and politically unstable Germany, rearmed the country, and signed strategic treaties with Italy and Japan to further his ambitions of world dominance. Hitler's invasion of Poland in September 1939 prompted the United Kingdom and France to declare war on Germany, kicking off World War II. The conflict would claim more lives and tear down more land and property over the next six years than any previous conflict. World War II had similar economic consequences. World War two had similar economic effects. However, the consequences were twice as harmful (

We are entering a new era in the history of warfare, with new and previously unconsidered forms of action likely to emerge, including true cyber-warfare (not media scaremongering) and new forms of economic war. A cyber-attack is a malicious action performed
using an electronic device to target computers, information systems, hardware and software, various networks, personal devices, security systems, etc.
Some examples of cyber warfare that are occurring, especially in militaries of first world countries are mentioned in the TechTarget article:
Viruses, phishing, computer worms and malware that can take down critical infrastructure, distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that prevent legitimate users from accessing targeted computer networks or devices, hacking and theft of necessary data from institutions, governments and businesses, spyware or cyber espionage that results in the theft of information that compromises national security and stability, ransomware that holds control systems or data hostage, and propaganda or disinformation
campaigns used to cause severe disruption or chaos (Hanna, Ferguson, Rosencrance, May
2021).
If tensions continue to rise, it will force the United States and its supporting partners to go to war with various other countries. ‘
Russia has invaded its neighbor Ukraine, a conflict that may draw the U.S. and NATO into a larger war. There is also the ongoing possibility of an armed
conflict between the U.S., its allies, and Iran and test launches by North Korea of ballistic missiles. As of 2022, the U.S. has spent
an estimated $8 trillion on post-9/11 wars,
a sizable piece of GDP (D'Souza. January 08th, 2020).’
Geography may play a notable role even further out, as good equatorial space launch sites
become sources of economic and military power. Ukraine, Palestine, and Pakistan are three other
potential hotspots for major powers and their allies. The conflict between significant forces in the
region could lead to the usage of nuclear weapons.
Existing powers may compete militarily to control these sites, or the government that owns them may use them to assert itself on the global stage. On the other hand, sea-based launch systems may eliminate the geographical issues surrounding good space launch sites. Compared to Naval bodies, military forces on the land can carry more equipment used in a war as mentioned by Sydney J. ‘… a land base can carry more ammunition and armor than anything that floats. Admirals have always been uneasy about bringing their fleets in range of shore-based weapons
(Freedberg Jr., April 2015).’ ‘The naval aspect of the military balance between the two global powers is considered especially critical since any conflict between them is expected to erupt either in the South China Sea or in the waters around Taiwan (Klare, Dec 2021).’
If WW3 occurs, whether due to geopolitical tensions, financial struggle, cyber warfare, or other reasons, the economy of people far away will suffer significantly more than in previous wars. According to history, the economic impact of WW3 may result in not only capital loss, rising food prices, changes in living conditions, tariffs, or trade war but also the collapse of the global monetary system and massive conversion to hard assets such as gold. But there will obviously be parties that will gain advantages if another massive war breaks out. ‘In general, defense stocks (companies that produce weapons and armaments) tend to fare the best during a wartime environment. Energy companies may also see a boost in conflicts that result in higher oil and commodity prices (D'Souza. January 08th, 2020).’
More often than, the global south is overlooked in terms of research and discussions. Most of the articles and focus of the international press falls on North America in general. Ellen mentions this in a LUND university article:
Discussions on development challenges for the Global South often lack sufficient understanding of the diverging history of different regions and countries. This leads to a poor understanding both of the development trajectories of success stories and of remaining development challenges. One explanation for this deficiency is a lack of recognition concerning how important the understanding of the past is for planning the future, another is the poor and uneven funding for researching the history of the Global South. The research group aims to be narrowing the gap between historical research on the Global South and the current development debate. The scope is broad in both time and space, covering roughly the last 150 years and stretching over Africa, Asia and Latin America (Hillbom, 2022).
However, after researching and looking through newsletters, the Global South is not doing so well economically. The World Bank recently published an article giving an overview of the current status of the Global Souths financial statistics:
'In short order, a series of once-in-a-lifetime shocks has hit South Asia. Elevated inflation,
balance of payments pressures, a slowdown in the global economy, and monetary tightening in other countries present renewed challenges, while the scars from the COVID pandemic continue to weigh down on the economic recovery. The region is facing a sharp inflection point around mid-2022 when growth is expected to slow, though
the more services-led economies are expected to perform better. To build resilience, the region can tap into the ongoing structural changes including financial innovations and

increased labor market flexibility. Labor migration, a key part of life in South Asia and an
important coping mechanism, was adversely impacted during the COVID pandemic. Policies that address existing barriers and reduce the risk of migration can improve the region’s resilience. This issue of the South Asia Economic Focus describes recent economic developments, analyzes the economic impact of the internal and external shocks, presents growth forecasts, provides risk scenarios, examines the impact of COVID on migration, and discusses policy recommendations (World Bank, 2022).
If the world is hit by WW3, judging from the given information, effects of it will be especially drastic on Bangladesh. Since it is a third-world country and still not industrialized to the extent, first-world countries are, Bangladesh depends majorly on agriculture, manual labor, and export. A possible WW3 will eventually cause the shutdown of the stock market. The stock prices of different factories and brands in Bangladesh will tank. Inflation will be the worst enemy
– the currency exchange rate might even double. Unemployment, as a result, will soar, and many
people already stuck in poverty will lose their jobs; a good chunk of the population will suffer from homelessness, and we might even have to witness a high number of deaths. ‘The International Monetary Fund (IMF)’s willingness to support
Bangladesh’s request for a $4.5 billion bailout package over the next three years confirms that the country’s economy is facing a serious crisis (Riaz, November 2022).’
However, there is also a contrasting perspective that Bangladesh will not be affected by the war. It could be more resource prosperous and geographically advantageous. Its geopolitical influence is barely acknowledged by India and Myanmar, let alone NATO, China, or Russia. Bangladesh is irrelevant to the superpowers, which is a blessing in disguise for the time being.
The major powers will compete for India's alliance, as opposed to Pakistan's alliance with China.
It still needs to be determined if Bangladesh will be a loser or a gainer from the war. The US and its allies will use sanctions to avoid a direct military confrontation with Russia. In these situations, the United States has limited options. However, we should be building a strong military so that neighboring countries do not dare to engage in similar daring against us. Bangladesh must exercise caution when dealing with both its Western and Russian counterparts. Because our economy is still developing, sanctions may indirectly impact our nuclear-powered electric megaprojects such as Support. We must diplomatically assert our interests and ensure that our security is not jeopardized in any situation. Since Bangladesh is increasingly becoming a manufacturing destination, it is likely to have a manufacturing order to demand war supply. Ukraine is an IT services destination for the western world; there is a good chance those customers will try to find new destinations, especially third-world countries whose primary source of income is production, like Bangladesh.
The US was already attempting to establish a base in Chittagong, and if they managed to do so, then Bangladesh would no doubt be dragged into WW3. If that happens, ties will be cut with China and Russia, putting significant projects in the country on hold, such as the nuclear power plant and the Padma bridge. Some noteworthy companies in automobile engineering, smartphone production, and a few other industries will also leave. Bangladesh will no longer receive military supplies from China or Russia. It will have to rely on used military equipment from India (for a long time, India sold/donated used military equipment to Bangladesh at a price close to its original cost).
And yes, a world war is not child's play, but it is also not something to dismiss; it could very well happen, as two world wars have already occurred, and the third is not in the realm of
imagination, but instead in the realm of reality. What is currently happening is a crisis, and the Bangladeshi people will suffer economically until it is resolved. As a precaution, experts should try to devise ways to prevent such a catastrophe in advance.
The economic impact is almost unavoidable when the war happened such as in WW1, WW2, and 9/11. And it did not only affect but also change the daily life and the future of many people.
Therefore, to prevent WW3 to happen, all parties both state and non-state actors need to cooperate to create communities and institutions that apply the principle of democracy and enforcement of the law to create and maintain peace (Asbanu, March 2020)

Please attach copies of this sheet to all
copies of your own paper. Please answer as specifically as possible.
1.
Who is your intended audience? Be specific.
My intended audience are young adults specially from Bangladesh who are interested in world economics and what a drastic event might do to it.
2.
What are you trying to do in this paper (what is your purpose)?
I am trying to point out the current economic standings of the world and Bangladesh and what might happen when a major war such as a World War takes place.
3.
What is the central conclusion or thesis of the paper, and where is it stated?
The central conclusion is what might the effects and results of a major war might be to the global
economy and how might Bangladesh suffer as a third world country which is mentioned around the middle from page 4
4.
What type of reasoning and evidence do you use to support this thesis? Do you feel you have
made a convincing case?
I use various external sources including journals and academic papers who have discussed about what I pointed out in my thesis. I have made as much of a strong paper as I could have my including as many resources as possible, I could find. I also tried to find papers from Bangladeshi journalists and researchers who have talked about the economy of Bangladesh and a
World War.
5.
How have you organized your paper (topically, chronologically, etc.)? You may include a brief outline if you like.
I organized my paper topically. The paper starts out with an introduction and what my personal connection is to the topic. The I provide a small overview of what the previous world wars were like and how they affected the world. Then I talked about what the current world standings are economically and what a catastrophe like a world war might do to the world, especially Bangladesh, and scratched the surface on how a world war might be avoided.
6.
What do you like best about the paper? What are its strengths?
The best I like about this paper is that since ethnically I am from Bangladesh, my personal connection to this paper is strong. As mentioned previously I also included quotes from Bengali writers and their perspectives which make the argument more sound.
7.
What are the paper’s greatest weaknesses? What changes would you want to make in another draft?
The greatest weakness might be the format and in text citation in the paper which I might need to
change and improve on.
8.
What specific questions do you have for your readers?
My question to the readers is whether reading this paper made them more interested in my topic and made them think out of the box as well.

DEFINITION OF TOPIC:
What is the thesis statement? Which aspects of placement and presentation of the thesis did you find helpful?
The thesis statement might be that Bangladesh would be negatively economically impacted, if World War III happened. As a reader, I can see what points you are trying to get to, but I think that you should make a clear thesis statement in the introduction paragraph and then, confirm that thesis in the conclusion. Although, there is no thesis statement in the introduction paragraph, your story behind your thesis helps reader recognize what your thesis statement is.
Which aspects of the thesis did you find unclear? What additional background or context would you require in order to understand the thesis?
Like I mentioned above, I think that you should make a thesis statement in the introduction paragraph and then, confirm it at the end. By the way, you did a great job of providing context and explaining it which I think anyone can understand your thesis.
ARGUMENT AND STRUCTURE:
Which parts of the paper are the most convincing? Be specific.

With the background information about Bangladesh’s current status and the two World Wars that you provide, what you picture of what might happen to Bangladesh is very convincing and logical. I think that you did great there.
Which parts are the least convincing? Why? Gaps? Counter-arguments that should be acknowledged? Unrelated strands?
In the paragraph where you said that after analyzing multiple resources, viewpoints, and debates,
you have seen that there is also a contrasting perspective, I think that you should include those resources, viewpoints, and debates and cite them to make that specific paragraph sounds more convincing because as reader, I think that after reading those sources, my perception might be different than yours. Therefore, I think that it would be better to include those sources.
USE OF REASONING AND EVIDENCE:
Where does the author make effective use of reasoning, evidence or examples to support a conclusion?
I think that for the most part, you make effective use of reasoning through evidence and examples that you give. For example, when you mention about cyber-attack might be a big issue if World War three happened in which you provide adequate reasoning and evidence from not media scaremongering.
Are there paragraphs where the author could have used more support?
Like I mention above, you should provide more information about the sources that you analyzed in the paragraph where you said that after analyzing multiple resources, viewpoints, and debates, you have seen that there is also a contrasting perspective so that the paragraph will sounds for persuasive.
Peer Review Form p. 2
INDIVIDUAL COMMITMENT OR CONTRIBUTION:
What unique insights did the paper offer?
I think that what unique about this paper is that you provide multiple aspect of a war’s impact, such as cyber-attack, capital, inflation, geography, etc… As a result, it makes your paper appear to me very adequate.
Where would you have liked the author to commit him or herself more fully?
Citation-wise, I think that you might have missed some citations, because in many paragraph which you provide a lot of information, there is no in-sentence citation. FORM AND STYLE:
List examples of use of language that you found interesting or that helped you as a reader:
Megaproject: I found this interesting because I have ever heard this term before, but based on the
context, I can understand this new term that it is about a massive project.
IT service country: it sounds new to me, but very easy to understand.
Which features of the writing got in your way as a reader?
You did a really good job at explaining the context and definitions, but there are some terms that might be hard for reader to read. For example, to me, you should explain what first-world and third-world country mean because those two definitions play an important role in the tenth paragraph, and I honestly don’t know what they mean. Did this paper meet the expectations of its audience? Why or Why not?
I think that this paper meets the audience expectation because it provides a lot of context explanation for terms and logical inference. Also, by using familiar vocabulary, the author has made it easy to appeal to broader range of readers. GENERAL COMMENTS:
Given all of the above, remind the author (and yourself) what you liked best in this paper?
First, your structure is very logical where you provide reader with some background information and then, you jump into details. Second, your sentence is very well-written and easy to understand by using familiar vocabulary. Lastly, I admire the fact that you think about your mom
and your family when writing about this thesis because family means a lot to me too.
What do you think should be the author’s priorities in revising this piece?
I think you should prioritize adding more citations. Then, I think you should consider your target audience in order to adding some more term definition, if you think necessary. Lastly, you nail this paper, and I think a little revision will make it perfect.

DEFINITION OF TOPIC:
What is the thesis statement? Which aspects of placement and presentation of the thesis did you find helpful?
Although the introduction gives an idea of what you’re going to discuss I think you should try to summarize the main ideas in a sentence.
Which aspects of the thesis did you find unclear? What additional background or context would you require to understand the thesis?
I couldn’t really find a clear thesis statement, which is why I would recommend you to try to summarize the main points that you’re going to expand on in a sentence.
ARGUMENT AND STRUCTURE:
Which parts of the paper are the most convincing? Be specific.
The paragraphs which discuss how current economic crisis and current political conflicts due make senses, however keep in mind that you are talking about a hypothetical scenario which means that you should try to express your ideas either less ‘assertively’ or try to back up what your claiming directly with quotes and background information to support your argument.
Which parts are the least convincing? Why? Gaps? Counter-arguments that should be acknowledged? Unrelated strands?
I feel that to make your argument more convincing you should try to diversify your sources so that you can discuss the possibility of WW3 and Bangladesh involvement from several perspectives.

Where does the author make effective use of reasoning, evidence or examples to support a conclusion?
“There are numerous variables to consider. More importantly, nuclear wars can no longer be won. Many European countries, including Russia, are nuclear-armed. It will be a mutually assured demise” This argument is very convincing since several studies have discussed how the development of nuclear armament in several nations have actually led to a decrease in risk of a nuclear war since the parties involved fear mutual destruction.
Are there paragraphs where the author could have used more support?
I believe that when you start talking about Iran and the conflicts between the US and other western nations you should try to back up your claims with the documents that you based your research on. Meaning that you could try to find quotes or ideas that explain where that is justified.
Peer Review Form p. 2
INDIVIDUAL COMMITMENT OR CONTRIBUTION:
What unique insights did the paper offer?
I think it was interesting how you discussed Bangladesh’s national problems and related them to how they might lead the country into a World War. It is important to understand the current political, social, and economical situation of Bangladesh in order ton understand why they could push the country into major war.
Where would you have liked the author to commit him or herself more fully?
I think that you should’ve tried to back up your ideas and claims with more direct quotations or paraphrasing in order to show the reader that these claims are fact checked.
FORM AND STYLE:
List examples of use of language that you found interesting or that helped you as a reader:
The vocabulary that you used to discuss geopolitics was very good. Although you used words that are more formal, you were able to explain them fully so that the reader didn’t feel lost.
Which features of the writing got in your way as a reader?
I think that maybe you could change the way you introduce the thesis. Maybe start with the background information and then discuss your personal connection to the topic.
Did this paper meet the expectations of its audience? Why or why not?
Even though the intended audience is not mentioned, i think that if the paper was aim to be read by scholars or students then you definitely made your case understandable.
GENERAL COMMENTS:
Given all the above, remind the author (and yourself) what you liked best in this paper?
I liked that you had a personal connection to your research topic since it means that you have knowledge on the present problems that Bangladesh is going through. Also it makes it feel more authentic than if someone who was not from Bangladesh had wrote it.
What do you think should be the author’s priorities in revising this piece?
I think that the main thing you should focus on is getting more evidence that directly backs up your claims, and also look into the comments about passive voice and sentence structure.
Writer Review Form: Revisions
Please attach copies of this form to your revision. Please answer as specifically as possible.
1.
How have you changed this paper from the last version? Please be as specific as possible, discussing any of the following: audience, purpose, thesis and argument, reasoning, evidence and examples, organization, context, style, or any other aspect of the paper that you have changed?
In terms of revision, I amended organization, reasoning, evidence, and citations. I rearranged some of the paragraphs so that they make more sense and. I eliminated paragraphs that were not contributing much to the thesis paper and added added information which improved my argument about a possible world war and economic standings especially of Bangladesh. Furthermore, I improved the in-text citations and references at the end. I also replaced one of the sources and rearranged some of the quotes by providing stronger ones that relate more to my paper. Overall, I tried to improve the language as much as possible.
2.
What do you like best about the revised paper? What are its strengths?
The revised paper has a better style and is more organized than the previous paper which seemed messy in comparison. This paper also has more clarity and is more specific about the arguments and discussion.
3.
Are there weaknesses or problem areas that remain? What are they?
I did the best of my ability to remove any weaknesses or problem areas.
4.
What specific questions do you have for your readers?
My previous questions remain but in addition to that I also want to know if my paper made them think about their own country – what will happen to their country if a catastrophic event takes

place. Even though the topic might seem very factual and related to finance, my question is could

Guided Fascinations Report
What I have noticed is that I used to think in a very restricted way. My way of learning was from textbooks and doing well on a test. Recently I have noticed it is not just that. Education is much more open and relaxed than textbooks and notes; it is about discussion, learning from our environment and peers, and day-to-day life as we encounter various situations. Learning is way more practical than I expected it to be.
At first, I was afraid that coming into USF, I would not be able to make friends in my ethnic community, but I was wrong. I have spent time with not only diverse communities and people of different races, but I have also maintained a connection to my homeland by staying in touch with
Bengali people and speaking the language with them and my parents back home. 1.
To me, this Thesis Question seemed a bit more pressing than the others in general: How can we truly help someone going through emotional distresses such as eating disorders and suicidal thoughts? I have wanted to research whether we can develop methods to help
them lead a better life and prevent suicide since I had to face the suicide of an awfully close friend and see another close friend go through the pains of fighting an eating disorder, which can affect a person disastrously.
2.
Some of the others that would be interested are my friends who had to live through the same situation as me, so we want to go up and produce necessary research, especially for individuals who wish to help their close ones in emotional distress but do not know how to.
3.
What I find the most interesting is that cultivation and obtaining Knowledge can be so different not only between levels of education but geographically. At first, I was a bit shocked at my classroom environment, but very soon, I started appreciating the change and saw how impactful it was.
4.
I think the relationship between me, and various others would change, if not drastically, but to a certain extent, and I hope the change is positive. It might be with peers who are interested in the same topic and have different opinions and even my parents because they were never allowed to think openly during college as much as I am. 5.
I want to communicate more with young adults. My target audience is teenagers and people in their early twenties because they are the most affected by this situation.
6.
These are the questions I want to ask and get answers to in my research: How do people feel when they are in emotional turmoil? How can we help people who are afraid or do not want to get help? Are there steps we can take to improve the situation?

Précis: My Research Statement: If a World War 3 takes place, what will be the economic effects of it, especially on Bangladesh
I came across this thesis genre when I read a small article about World War 2 and why it happened. As I veered around the topic more by conducting various google searches, I thought there was a possibility of a third one. World War 2 took place after the advance of aviation but before nuclear weapons - it seems like the idea of a war between any Great Powers today would be impossible without the use of nuclear weapons. We are moving into a new era in the history of
warfare, and we are likely to see new and so-far un-considered forms of action emerge, including
true cyber-warfare (not media scaremongering) and new forms of economic warfare. I plan to dive into the economic aftermath of a third world war and what different countries will face in the consequences especially my home country Bangladesh. I aim to discuss
the economic state of the globe today, the potential devastation that a world war, especially one involving Bangladesh, may cause, and briefly touched on ways that a world war can be prevented. I want to find answers to questions as accurately as possible using research and statistical data, as well as existing data such as is our world prepared for another war? What will be the economic and financial consequences of the war, and which countries will benefit and suffer because of it? What will happen to my family and Bangladesh?
First, I plan to know the current world statistics and economy. Then I plan to format a prediction using sound sources about what might happen to factors such as the economy, exchange rates of currency, stock market, inflation, liquidity, and assets of various countries. I also plan to take help from my mom, who is a finance professor and has proper ideas regarding

the commerce sector. My research will be concentrated on the economic and financial consequences. I will add more themes to my research: the power dynamics of different countries and their roles in the war. The combination of the Eurozone crisis and Russian aggression is a ticking time bomb. China and India also deal with population crises that could erupt unexpectedly in the next fifty years.
Geography may play a notable role even further out, as good equatorial space launch sites
become sources of economic and military power. Existing powers may compete militarily to control these sites, or the government that owns them may use them to assert itself on the global stage. On the other hand, sea-based launch systems may eliminate the geographical issues surrounding good space launch sites. Even so, a maritime conflict over equatorial territory is possible.
World War III becomes inevitable as soon as everyone thinks it is impossible. It is not like the last world wars started with everybody agreeing that is what they would become. Therefore, I also want to talk about any precautions that countries might be able to take to avoid absolute catastrophe.
Timeline:
1.
Producing a research question. The first step in developing a research statement is to identify the primary focus of our research project. For me that would be to find out specific properties such as why might a third world war take place, make a list of countries that might benefit and suffer losses, effects on Bangladesh and which might the countries be that might start the war. In this step, we make sure to specify what our research question means clearly.

Approximate time: took me around 1 week
2.
Looking up resources related to the research statement/topic. We can identify a research focus by reading the literature in our industry and identifying gaps in existing research. Looking through various works related to our topic will give us a better perspective and deeper insight into what research work really is. I want to use the resources that we have learned about so far such as quick search and look up sources that might be beneficial for me such as Current world economies as I want to focus on economic standings that might
be affected by the war and investigate more about financial affects.
Approximate time: 2 days
3.
Produce research strategies to explore resources on the topic and acquire more information. At this stage, we eliminate any unnecessary information and only keep specific information that enhances our research paper. For this part I want to narrow down my research and separate it into different departments: financial, economics, and even narrow those down continent and geographically which might give me a better idea on how to properly structure the thesis paper.
Approximate time: 2 days
4.
Start the paper and produce a rough draft to showcase what our paper might look like and
what sort of structure it might have. Here I must go down and gather all the resources I

have collected and start authoring a proper paper. I might want to ask myself at this point if my question is proper or is too broad or narrow, whether I need more resources and properly theme down. Since I will be mostly working on economic and financial aftereffects of a third world war, I will have to go through a lot of statistics and might even collaborate with people or peers who have good knowledge on the topic.
Approximate time: 1 week
5.
Make improvisations through multiple revisions. Critically analyzing our paper and research theory is important to make it as realistic as possible. Increasing clarity is a key objective to keep in mind. If our paper is vague, it will not properly convey our challenging work.
Approximate time: 4 days
6.
Get the research paper peer reviewed and checked by professors for feedback. We can improve our research by having a mentor or colleague review our drafts. This can assist us in identifying any errors we may have missed and make our paper more understandable to others.
Approximate time: 4 days
7.
Make final changes and check for grammatical errors. It is also critical to proofread and review our work to ensure that there are no typos or other errors. We are double-checking
