Explain the relationship between the climate and humans beginning to
practice agriculture approximately 10,000 years ago.
The early forms of agriculture were probably the simple herding of cattle and
the cultivation of wild plant species. Humans grew increasingly skilled at
breeding the plants and animals that best suited our requirements as time
went on.

What are the two recent themes for new ways to use old crops?
The two most recent topics on crop usage are the necessity to identify
alternatives to currently used commodities, as well as how to more
effectively employ agricultural and industrial surpluses produced by
American farmers.
12. Why did corn and potatoes succeed as crops in Europe?
Because it provided a low-effort alternative to other grains with a high yield,
corn was successful in Europe. Since they produced high yields, potatoes
were successful.
13. What is the AAA and what did it create?
The Agricultural Adjustment Act (AAA) was a New Deal-era federal statute in
the United States that paid farmers incentives to not plant on a portion of
their land and to cull surplus animals. Its objective was to lessen crop surplus
and, as a result, effectively increase crop value.
14. Oil price increases in 1973 and 1979 sparked research into what areas?
In contrast to the 1979 crisis, which was brought on by the Yom Kippur War,
the 1973 crisis was caused by decreases in domestic oil production. The
1973 crisis was worse than the 1979 catastrophe. Due to the two crises,
rules were loosened to increase local oil output.
15. What has caused an increase in nutritional research?
Nutrition Research Needs will clarify methods for the prevention and
treatment of both infectious and non-communicable diseases, such as
cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
16. What was the first specifically agricultural activity of the federal
government for the United States embassies?
As the executive branch of the federal government, the United States
Department of Agriculture (USDA) is in charge of creating and carrying out
laws pertaining to agriculture, forestry, rural economic development, and
food.
