2 Responding to Dianna Austill I appreciate your insights into the distinction between Telehealth and Telemedicine, as well as your personal experience with these services. Your explanation of how Telehealth involves remote healthcare services, while Telemedicine focuses on the exchange of medical data, aligns with the definitions provided by Rahman et al. (2020). Additionally, I would like to mention that the way you described the utilization of Telehealth and Telemedicine during and after the COVID-19 pandemic reflects a broader trend. The pandemic has indeed accelerated the adoption of these technologies, making them more mainstream and accessible (Kaplan, 2020). In addition I would like to respectfully challenge your point about Telehealth calls being the majority of visits for APRNs moving forward. While Telehealth offers undeniable benefits, especially in rural areas, the need for physical examinations, diagnostic procedures, and the human touch in healthcare cannot be entirely replaced by remote services. Certain conditions and complex cases may still require in-person evaluation and care. Lastly, I would be interested to hear more about your thoughts on the balance between Telehealth and traditional in-person visits in the long term. How do you envision healthcare providers maintaining the necessary level of care and empathy in a world where remote consultations might become more prevalent? Understanding this balance can help shape the future of healthcare, ensuring that patients receive the appropriate care without losing the vital human connection that often aids in healing and comfort.
