I found this event quite unique given how serious the consequences were after such an impactful disaster. Furthermore, the event outlined steps for improved communications and aid deliveries for the international community, which has since helped prevent consequences this grave for earthquakes of a similar magnitude. In addition, despite the “negative” outlook in Haiti by the public media, there are many recorded instances of the Haitian people working through the event and rebuilding what they once had.
