Home Schooling
Summary
For all age groups, homeschooling is a popular form of instruction in many regions of the
world. Many families opt to use this instructional style for a variety of reasons, such as resource
availability, economic considerations, and religious or fundamentalist convictions. More and
more families are having trouble homeschooling their kids due to health and financial issues. In
her discussion of her own issues as a mother who homeschools her children, Kesson (2020)
focuses on her children's problems with learning models, their lack of structure and engagement,
and their inability to participate in cooperative learning. However, as a novel and enhanced
method of education, homeschooling is becoming increasingly popular with families
(Abuzandah, 2021).
Analysis
Homeschooling differs greatly from the typical school paradigm in terms of both
organization and curriculum. The differences between the homeschooling approach and the
conventional in-person schooling paradigm should be considered. According to Abuzandah
(2020), education has "worked as a tool for creating adults who can compete in a global
economy as well as adults who can engage in meaningful relationships." The absence of physical
activity in a home environment, where pupils are less mobile than in a public or private school
setting, should be considered while examining educational approaches. This may influence the
general mental and physical wellness of the students. Students who are homeschooled should put
more of an emphasis on outdoor activities to keep them healthy and interested in their

surroundings. According to Kesson (2020), creating real-world learning experiences for pupils is
crucial since they have a long-lasting impact on their development.
Lack of exposure to other pupils has a significant negative influence on social health as
well (Abuzandah, 2021). Kesson (2020) talked about how homeschooled students could find it
difficult to identify their talents and hobbies. She advised parents who were homeschooling their
children to focus on enticing their students with tailored learning tactics and developing
individualized learning programs for each of them. Abuzandah (2021) goes on to explain how
pupils who are homeschooled can require additional mental stimulation to keep them interested
in and engaged in the lessons being taught. Although this can be difficult, students who
participate in homeschooling are more likely to quicken the pace of their learning (Kesson,
2020).
Personal Response
I now have a better understanding of the benefits and drawbacks of the homeschooling
learning approach after doing research and discovering these two academic journals.
I believe that both in-person education, whether it be private or public, and homeschooling have
advantages and disadvantages, respectively. I think parents should be free to choose the
educational approach they want to use for their kids; while one approach might be perfect for one
family, it might not necessarily be the same for another. To put it more precisely, I think it can
differ from child to child. Before picking one educational approach over another, one must
consider a student's learning style because certain students can work more independently.

Additionally, it is essential that parents try to select the educational strategy that best suits their
child's particular requirements. Although I have friends who homeschool their kids, I do not
intend to do that. I don't believe it would go well with the way of life my family leads.
I sincerely think that education must extend outside the four walls of the classroom.
Parents must also educate their children on life lessons and foster their personal development.
According to Deuteronomy 6:7 (NIV), "You shall diligently teach them to your children and
shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie
down, and when you rise." While a worldly education is important, people can become better
versions of themselves through growing spiritually and morally. Learning is a lifetime process,
and people continue to develop in all facets of their lives as a result of their lived experiences and
exposure to a wide variety of people.
