Tee Nguyen Advanced Grammar - Lena Writing project 4 - Mental Health 11/20/21 TOPIC : What can be done to provide better mental health care for immigrants and other minority groups? NOTE: gerunds infinitives Tips for better mental health It is challenging to integrate when you first immigrate to the U.S. It's hard leaving the familiar to live thousands of kilometers away for some people. However, thinking about a fresh start in a developed country with friendly and open-minded people can make you feel better. The preceding can make you feel more accessible than ever; with that freedom comes a feeling of suffocation and difficulty breathing, you will start feeling homesick. Then feeling as if you are caught in a spiral with no way out. Even if you are actively seeking help, at least in my experience, people will often respond with "everything will be fine," "you're lucky to be able to immigrate to the U.S., let's enjoy it." But over time, your learning adjusts to your new environment, often with the help of new friends and other support networks. From there, the negative feelings will disappear over time. Taking care of your mental health is understood as making your mind comfortable and thinking simply. Not to judge, mentally stressed, tired by pressures, worries from work, life, control yourself so as not to fall into a state of stress and lose your ability. The transition period when you immigrant to the U.S. from your country is not easy, especially in the face of increased pressures, financial difficulties, language barriers, social distancing, cultural taboos, and hope. Because many people are ignored and subject to their mental health, they fall into a state of depression, fatigue, and anxiety without realizing it. Taking care of your mental health helps you be more
optimistic in the face of difficulties, both helping to fight disease and to improve your quality of life. It is not difficult, we just don't understand and still lack real attention. There are many ways to take care of your health. It would be best to read more books, sign up for meditation classes, take yoga or aerobics classes to improve your physical and mental well-being. Instead of burying your head at work all day, you should travel more, go out with friends. Do the things you want and plan to do but haven't done yet. Most of all, you must have faith in yourself, dare to do, and dare to challenge.
