Testing negatively impacts a student and a teachers school environment (Starr, 2020; Youn, 2018). List one summary statement for your topic on which there is disagreement between your sources. Cite your sources in your statement.
For example: While Starr (2020) suggests standardized testing is unnecessary, and negatively impacts student and teachers stress level, Edadvanced (n.d.) concludes standardized testing establishes a universal educational standard and demonstrates student progress appropriately. Lesson Focus
Lesson Focus
(2-3 sentences explaining your focus
and why it’s important to you and
future teachers)
I disagree with standardized testing and I do not believe it adequately demonstrates a student’s progress. I chose to focus on standardized testing because personally I am NOT a good test taker. I will make straight A’s and do well in class, but will fail a test because of anxiety and stress. My mom is also a teacher as well and I grew up watching her battle the standardized tests and
struggle to get her students prepared in time.
