Explain the value of ethics in delivering communications in a fast-paced contemporary environment. Support your explanation with specific examples. When it comes to explaining the value of ethics in delivering communications in a fast pace contemporary environment ethical communication is critical. It builds trust and credibility and also a reputation for organizations like ABC Athletics. According to Trevino and Nelson (2016), ethical communication fosters positive relationships with stakeholders which also includes customers and employees as well as the community and leads to long term success. An example of this would be when companies like ABC Athletics prioritize transparency, integrity, and honesty in their communication they are able to build a loyal customer base and attract top talent. B. Explain how using empathy and compassion in creating specific communication messages helps culturally diverse audiences better understand those messages and why this is relevant to ABC Athletics.
Explaining how using empathy and compassion in creating specific communication messages help culturally diverse audiences better understand those messages and why this is relevant to ABC Athletics, empathy and compassion played an important role in creating communication messages that really resonate with culturally diverse audiences. Understanding and acknowledging the perspective and values as well as experiences of diverse individuals and communicators like those at ABC Athletics can help tailor their messages appropriately. As stated by Nelissen et al. (2020), empathetic communication can promote respect and inclusivity as well as understanding among diverse groups and foster a sense of belonging and engagement. An example of this would be ABC Athletics demonstrating empathy by considering cultural nuances and sensitivities when communicating with international customers or even multicultural employees. C. Identify recent, contemporary communication examples in which ethics were not considered, and suggest recommendations for ABC Athletics to adopt that prevent these situations and ensure that ethical communications are created and distributed in the future. Define recent contemporary communication examples in which ethics were not considered and suggesting recommendations for ABC Athletics to adopt that prevent these situations and ensure that ethical communication is created and distributed in the future would be misleading advertisement and deceptive product claims as well as data privacy breaches by companies like Facebook (Tufekci, 2018). To prevent such situations and ensuring ethical communication at ABC Athletics, the organization will be able to adopt various recommendations. Implementing clear communication policies and codes of conduct that really emphasize honesty, accuracy, and respect for privacy will be able to guide employees
in their communication practices (Pearson & Nelson, 2000). Also providing regular ethics training and promoting a culture of transparency as well as accountability will empower employees to be able to make ethical decisions in their communication efforts (Grunig et. Al., 2002). Lastly, being able to establish robust monitoring as well as oversight mechanisms to be able to identify and address any unethical communication practices promptly will uphold ABC Athletics commitment to ethical communication standards.
