What parts of the presentation are impactful? In other words, what parts of the presentation would really convince the audience that they should care?
a. The target audience for this presentation are those who work in the prison system. Specifically, people who are higher up as Claudia is discussing rehabilitation programs that would be beneficial. b. Claudia believes the audience should care because of the cost associated with maintaining the prison. Her rehabilitation program will help reduce the number of prisoners who re-offend
and ultimately drive us costs. c. When Claudia discussed her personal experience and her cousin being in the prison system.
This showed that she has a true understanding and passion for rehabilitation. Module Eight Question 2
Identify places in Claudia's script that you think should be accompanied by visuals. For each place you identify, indicate what kind of information you think she should include on the slide. For example, you may think personal images are appropriate in some places, or that graphs or charts representing data may be helpful in others.
The part in Claudia's presentation that would benefit from graphs would be when she discusses statistics of inmates. Specifically, the increase of incarcerations from 1980 to 2003. Module Eight Question 3
Choose the remaining 3-5 places in the script where you will incorporate visuals. Briefly
note where you will include these visuals, and describe what will appear on the slide.
I find that having visuals on most slides helps keep the viewer engaged. For that reason, I feel
that all slides should have some type of visual, whether it be a graph, photo or even clip art. Module Eight Question 4
Complete the checklist after practicing your presentation. Identify at least three
adjustments that you will make to improve the presentation based on this critical evaluation.

I need to make my slides less busy. 2.
Ensure my reference are done correctly. 3.

Identify opportunities that you have to speak in public and practice these presentation skills, even if not giving a formal presentation. How will using these tips help you communicate your message?
Speaking with my coworkers as well as patients allows me good practice. By speaking in a clear understandable tone and not rambling on I am conscious of what I am saying and how it
sounds to the audience. Module Eight Question 6
Consider all you've learned throughout this course. In your opinion, what are two of the
most important concepts or skills you learned that are most relevant to your everyday life?
This course has shown me the importance of taking the time to learn and understand other people and other cultures. I have also learned how to tell if the resources I find are credible and how to incorporate them into my work. Module Eight Question 7
What did you enjoy most about this course?
I most enjoyed being able to research and dive into a topic I really find interesting. I gained a lot of knowledge and learned how to apply it in multiple ways.
