How Much I Learned This Week Week 1: This first week I learned the many differences between audiences and how communication and culture patterns can be used within context to help address a fully diverse audience. During my learning experience, I found it helpful to take information from 14.4 and other outside credible sources and combine both resources to help better understand each cultural pattern. For example, when researching high and low context cultures, I didn’t fully understand some of the language used in the textbook. Online I used some other sources that had more specific and precise definitions for what I was looking for to understand the topic. While learning this week from the textbook, I am able to apply these topics to the quiz questions with different real world scenarios, such as Elon Musk’s email, and this really helped to amplify my experience with the topic, rather than just consuming information without any really beneficial use in the real world when writing. Week 2: This week I learned how to understand an audience by writing an analysis form. This helped combine what I learned in week one to use the cultural patterns to further understand the audience that I am writing about. This checklist can determine the audience's nature by asking questions that help connect the author to them. Using this information, I learned how to create an example of an actual audience and their characteristics in my own analysis form. This helped me to define the cultural variables with an example, giving me a greater understanding of these terms related to an audience. In the future, writing about an audience's expectations and preferences will be useful when writing my next document. Week 3: This third week I learned how to write a risk analysis form for a client. This means using their background information from what I learned last week and incorporating that into a business- style report. By doing this, I could generate an audience-guided report that follows specific guidelines that are always thinking about the audience. I also learned how to revise peers writing by using the audience's empathy and connections to the reader. This helps me become a stronger writer whenever I am writing for an audience with different views or accessibility. Writing in the risk analysis report helped me to become more familiar with Chat GPT and how it can sometimes lead to false information. I have learned how to use it more for research and specific keywords and phrases that help me find research more easily and incorporate it into my writing. I think this is an important tool to use for the rest of my research in future projects saving me extended amounts of time. Week 4: This week I learned how to make my document my audience centered
