[Last Name] 1 Shelby Ledbetter Mr. Morrison 12/2/22 Classroom Management Teaching is not controlling, but working with the students to learn, grow, and succeed together. By having strong student-teacher relationships with students, the classroom will be a place for each member to express their feelings and work together. Academic success depends on these close relationships and guidance that teachers and students have with one another. All classroom management strategies evolve around teachers. Only teachers have an audacity of commanding sanity in classrooms. The first strategy that teachers cam use to manage classrooms effectively, is by involving students through verbal communication. This creates familiarity between students and teacher. Classroom management aims to establish student self-control through promoting positive student achievement and behavior. Thus, academic achievement, teacher efficacy, and teacher and student behavior are linked with the concept of classroom management. Preparing for the first day is the best time to give the information for the entire year about exams, assignments, due date of projects, and the classroom rules. The idea you want for you are classroom should be established by the frist day.( Pg. 349-350). Another thing you want to establish on the frist day would be the phsical space. How do you want you are classroom to feel and look like. Having a more traditional arrngement is the most effective when the teacher wants students attention to be focused on direct instruction and wants to mainimize interaction between students (Pg 351). I would as a teacher try the face-to-face seating to see where my students would seat and who they seat with and see what connections there are amongst the students.
[Last Name] 2 Time management is an important skill to have when managing a highly active life and is useful when managing your daily activities. Every teacher wants to manage the time in our classroom but trying to minimize the time between classes can be hard. There is less structure and hence there are more opportunities for disruption. For younger grades, there are procedures we can do like call backs (oh, O'Reilly auto parts). For middle and high school students, it is best to establish the rules and routine from the first day of class (Pg 355). Time management also includes activity flow, it is important to keep the flow of instruction moving forward. Teachers need to avoid moving back and forth between activities, spending too much time on an activity, or providing instruction when students already know or understand the information can cause the students to become distracted (Pg 354). Teachers hold the highest regard for students, ideally, students are encouraged to respect their teachers and emulate them. Teacher play key role in molding student’s personality and the type of relationship teachers develop with students will determine the student’s academic and personal growth in the future. Developing a positive teacher-students relationship means creating an encouraging learning enviroment where students are free to interct with both teacher and their peers. Effective communication plays a key role nurtring students abilities (Pg 357). There are many benefits to teachings having a good relationship with the student’s family, guardian, or parents. Teachers should begin the school year with building positive relationships with the student’s families. Teachers should be sending home good news notes to the parents praising the students for their demanding work in the class. Schools also need to be welcoming to the families and provide workshops to assist in the parent’s knowledge to allow them to help their children with their schoolwork. Having the parents involved and aware of the things going on in

In conclusion, guidance and counseling can be a solution to extremely defiant students. Sometimes teachers can send these students to the school administration for further disciplinary actions. However, cases like this should be minimal so that other students do not become fearful of teachers. Overall, students will always be disrupting in classrooms unless they are fully engaged in doing mind-occupying activities.
