Then, using the slide found in Module 4: Successful Teams Have…, choose at least four characteristics that made your team successful. Use specific examples to prove how the team used those characteristics to be successful. I am currently involved in a volunteer program called “Circles”. My role in the program is to take care of children of different age groups, ranging from toddlers to teenagers. While their parents attend meetings with their circle leaders, I have to engage the kids in learning projects and activities every Thursday for an hour. Initially, when I started volunteering in March, we did not have any specific learning criteria for the children. Most of the time, they would spend their time playing with toys or outdoors without any meaningful engagement. However, about two months ago, an intern from the University of Utah joined our program and introduced us to some learning topics and activities that were both fun and meaningful. Initially, the children were not happy with the change in the usual environment, but we managed to handle the situation conflict effectively by adjusting the layout and gathering feedback from outsiders. We listened carefully to the children feedback without interrupting or criticizing them negatively, which proved to be

We had to improvise our layout several times, and we used a group chat to discuss the pros and cons and make necessary changes to improve our outcome. All the children volunteers had the opportunity to provide constructive feedback , which helped us to evolve as a program. As we continue to grow with more children joining us, we have learned to show compassion, consistency, and equality to create a positive environment.
