Share a link to the article. ● Share a link to an organization that promotes group work. Perhaps share a recruitment image or flyer. How does this organization's offerings relate to what you've learned about the various types of groups this week? ● Share which of the readings this week offered information you can immediately use, and detail how you will use this information either personally or professionally. Well this is different. Posting less than 75 words! I usually write a book LOL. I hope I read it right that we choose one of those ideas to discuss. Share a link to an organization that promotes group work. Perhaps share a recruitment image or flyer. How does this organization's offerings relate to what you've learned about the various types of groups this week? I do not have a flyer or recruitment image as CASA- Trinity (formally known as Council on Addiction Recovery Services (CAReS) facility does not promote these groups to the public. A client learns about the groups upon enrollment into drug and alcohol treatment. Trinity provides drug/alcohol treatment, as well as mental health services. Group counseling takes place there, as well as grief group counseling, and trauma group counseling.. All of these groups are closed groups and no one can join after they have started and a client has to wait for the next cycle. Each class is scheduled on a weekly basis for four months (or as long as needed). After reading this weeks chapters, I learned that this facility offers groups that fall under psychotherapy groups. Psychotherapy groups address personal and interpersonal problems of living for those experiencing severe or chronic maladjustment (Gladding, 2019). Due to my knowledge, experience and knowing how the facility operates, these groups are beneficial to those clients who are dually diagnosed and participate.
