Evidence and Analysis Discussion My first pick is a book that discusses cyberbullying from many different angles, including its prevalence, its effects, the efficacy of penalizing it, and the role that institutions and parents may play in eradicating it (Roleff, 2012). It explains that while cyberbullying is more common while students are at home, it is not uncommon for their behaviors to transfer over to school. The essay sources, which include Berin Szoka, Beverly Flaxington, Michelle Obama, and Barack Obama, are what drew me to this book. In addition, it discusses why it's crucial to strike a balance between keeping an eye on kids' online activities and letting them learn to set and enforce their own limits at an early age. The second resource I considered helpful in understanding the incidence of cybersecurity in my community provides a contextually relevant knowledge of the significance of technology in the lives of children and young people, particularly modern online connections and peer groups (Parks, 2013). Teachers are a crucial element of a community-wide response to cyberbullying, and this article explains why it's important for them to get involved with students' safe technology use from the very first time they use it. These two materials are crucial because they show parents and teachers how to engage with children in a conversation about healthy cyber-citizenship, which frames the advantages of online involvement and responses to cyberbullying and other harmful online behaviors. As the prevalence of cyberbullying rises, so does the importance of communication between parents and schools. School policy and robust cybersecurity education programs, such as responsible usage regulations, can be shared with parents. Both books explain what cyberbullying is, what sets it apart from traditional bullying, how educators can help stop the problem, and what they can do if they see an instance. The purpose of this effort is to provide information to teachers as key
stakeholders so that they may better assist parents in understanding their duties and empowering their adolescent children to make responsible decisions while interacting with the internet.
