I am 45 years old and a mother of four wonderful kids. I am
very excited to start this college journey and achieve my
associate in business degree. With trying online college in the
past and not completing; this time is a journey that I plan to
finish to the end. I know that I have the support, resources,
and ability to do so; I just need to manage my time and
discipline myself better. For me taking ownership is doing
what makes me happy; just taking charge of my life and going
for and doing what I want. Getting my business degree in my
field preference is at the top of my list. I know I can do and
become anything I want and there is no stopping for me.
The resources given for this course has helped me
understand and define the concept of "Taking Ownership."
Watching the video of the President of SNHU was very
encouraging and made me feel confident in taking this step to
pursue my degree. Also the learning center and community
offers a ton of videos that I found to be very helpful. Knowing
that there are many people and resources that I can utilize
through this journey is me taking ownership of my academic
journey. My children are who motivates me. A big part is me
doing this for them . to show them that anything is possible as
well as provide for them and other family members. So
getting my degree will open a lot of doors for me to be able to
do these things. I want to wish everyone good luck in this
class as well as the future on your academic journey.
