The seven Covey’s Seven Habits are better understood in terms of virtue ethics. Covey
promoted the notion of servant leadership as opposed to paternalistic leadership (Jenkins)
.
According to Stephen R. Covey, there are four elements of life notably: mental, emotional,
spiritual and physical health. Although Covey was nearing the end of his self-improvement for
the personal life, he made efforts to maintain physical fitness (Hasan and Caldwell). Moreover,
Stephen R. Covey argued that the root of the global financial crisis is stemmed on the
overreliance on the outmoded organizational structures. Therefore, the need to build a
cooperating culture involving the employees will enable the best management in an organization
with good decision-making processes (Covey, “Last Word: 360-Degree Alignment.”).
The Seven Habits of Stephen R. Covey have revolutionized the life management of
organizations. The step by step lessons offered in the Seven Habits has helped millions of people
to live a successful and satisfying life. Through the famous works of covey conveyed through
videos and infographics, there has been the valuable transformation of lives (Covey, “The 7
Habits of Highly Effective People”). The human endeavor is self-evident from the cognitive,
spiritual and emotional pursuits that require time to engage. As a result, there is a relationship
between time and the management of human life that leads to the growth and maturation of one’s
spiritual practices both at home and at work (Jensen and Neck). With the common human
challenges in today’s complex world, the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R.

Covey proposes the principle-centered approach that is able to address such challenges. The
habit of being proactive ensures that people become responsible for their own lives hence gain
the ability to change their futures. Covey argued that “Achieving unity-oneness- with ourselves,
with our loved ones, with our friends and working associates, is the highest and best and most
delicious fruit of the Seven Habits (pp. 318)”. The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People has become a touchline for families and
businesses all over the world. The success of Covey through the principle-centered philosophy is
enumerated by millions of people from the lessons with the Seven Habits workbook that explores
the approaches. The clarity of the Seven Habits provokes the exercises of the habits hence
becoming familiar with the principles. As a result, there is a solution to personal and professional
problems hence promoting fairness, integrity, and dignity. Also, people are able to set goals and
improve relationships hence effective lifestyle. The powerful lessons of the personal change in the Seven Habits of covey have also
become a business best setter. For this reason, the business leadership has realized that true
success is based on the balance of personal and professional effectiveness. Covey talks about
change and its effect on productivity and time management that makes the human life effective.
