Question1
The language we use plays an important role in the evolution of both our culture and the
norms that govern it. People's use of language, how they convey information, and the importance
they place on specific words are all aspects that contribute to the cultural values, beliefs, and
customs that are accepted and shared within a society (TEDx Talks). This implies that we have
the potential to shape our society's cultural norms and traditions by the language we use and the
way we communicate with one another.
Question 2
This concept has a broad influence on both my everyday life and the connections I
maintain with others. It suggests that I must be mindful of the language I use while conversing
with people, since the words I choose may have a long-term impact on how others see and
interact with me. It also indicates that I must be conscious of the cultural values and conventions
prevalent in the society in which I live, as well as my role in preserving and shaping such values.
It means that I must be mindful of how I talk and the words I use, as they have the potential to
favorably or negatively effect the society around me.

Question 3
A situation that occurs in the workplace, for example, may help to exemplify this
concept. Certain terminology and phrases in the workplace may be used to convey respect or
authority, while others may be seen as rude or disrespectful by those present (Trice). As a result,
the words and phrases used by employees have the ability to have a significant impact on
workplace culture as well as how people interact with one another. Employees may make their
workplace more enjoyable and productive simply by speaking in a courteous, friendly, and
inviting way to everyone. Similarly, employees may create an unwelcoming or hostile
environment by employing language that is indifferent to or dismissive of others' sentiments. As
a result, the language used at work may be seen as a reflection of the organization's culture and
goals.
