I have been made aware of the California Penal Code sections related to the reporting of child abuse, which cover the following topics: Who is a mandated reporter? What are the obligations of a mandated reporter? What are the lim
its of liability of a mandated reporter? I have been provided a review of California Penal Code Sections 11166 and 11165.7 and will comply with those provisions. I understand that as a student, I may or may not be specifically identified as a mandated reporter, depending on my level of involvement and frequency of contact with children in a children’s center setting. I understand, however, that it is the intent of Mt. San Antonio College to cooperate fully with state requirements on child abuse reporting by making me aware of the laws pertaining thereto. I understand that this acknowledgement page will be retained by the child development faculty for the duration of my involvement in the program.
