SHORT ANSWER SECTION
(Total of 31 points).
Please type your answers for each question directly below the question. Please highlight (in yellow) your responses.
1.
Measurement and evaluation have six main functions. List
, describe,
and provide an example
for THREE
of these six functions. You must use different examples
than those that I provided in the PowerPoint or audio lecture- you will not receive credit for using the same examples that I provided. (6 points)
Feasibility o
Assessing the practically required for conducting assessments effectively
Ex. Administration of run test, like a 1-mile run
Objectivity o
The degree of a measurement process.
Ex. use of wearable fitness trackers, like an Apple watch
Reliability o
The consistency of results.
Ex.A test-retest study
2. Choose one
of the tests that you did from Practical Assignment #2 that is intended for the older adult population. For that test, discuss the reliability specifically answering: Is it a reliable test? Why or why not? (6 points)
Test: Chair Stand Test
Reliability: This test is a reliable way of testing lower body strength. With proper measures, this can be even more reliable due to the consistency of measures. The procedures tend to remain consistent, and the results follow.
3.
If you had to assess physical activity in the future with a client or patient, which measure of the four measures used to assess physical activity that were covered in the “Assessing Physical Activity” lecture would you prefer to use? Please talk about the feasibility, objectivity, burden level, limitations, and advantages for full credit. (6 points)
If I were to assess physical activity in the future I would choose recall questionnaires as a measure to assess my patient’s physical activity. Feasibility: feasible to administer due to the fact that you're just collecting information through self-reporting, which is very inexpensive.
Objectivity: Objectivity relies on the patient’s interpretation, honesty, and memory due to self-reporting.
Burden level: The burden level depends on the complexity of the questionnaire.
Limitations: patients may have difficulty interpreting the questions or recalling the events asked on the questionnaire. There could also be a bias limitation.
Advantages: recall questionnaires are cost-effective and easy to participate in.
For question 4, you will use the Excel sheet entitled, “GPA and hours studied mock data_Exam_5-27-22” which is located within the Exam Assignment on Canvas.

Exam 1: KHP 445 4
Part A.
Please calculate the mean, median, and mode for both variables (both for GPA and
for hours studied). You will also need to calculate the correlation coefficient for the two variables. (Use all directions provided in the Correlations PowerPoint with my audio to guide you with completing #4).
Please submit your completed Excel sheet separately from your exam under the “Exam” Assignment on Canvas. Not including the Excel sheet, even if the answers are correct for #4, will result in a loss of 5 points. Please include the answers on both the table below, as well as on the attached Excel sheet. (Each cell in the table for Mean, Median and Mode is worth 1 point each, and the correlation coefficient is worth 3 points = 9 points)
Please note, for all calculations, round to the nearest hundredths place (e.g. 11.42). If an answer is a whole number or only carried out to the tenths place (e.g. 2.4), then leave as is. Not rounding appropriately will result in a loss of 1 point.

1. Share something with me that you did in the last couple of weeks for yourself in an effort to promote your physical and/or mental health 😊
In the past couple of weeks, I’ve been prioritizing myself a lot more than I usually do. I’ve been more aware of my eating habits, steps I take in a day, and my water intake. I’ve also been speaking to a therapist to heal from old trauma. Lastly, something I’ve been doing to promote physical and mental health is time managing. Time management
Exam 1: KHP 445 5
helps me be less anxious and allows me to plan out time to cook meals, and work out to maintain health.

Explain your rationale for using the summative assessment (below) from the lesson plan on mixing substances in a 5th-grade classroom based on the below standard and learning objective, including how it aligns with the learning objective.
Summative Assessment
Summative:
Components of the Lab Report
Purpose: The student should clearly state the purpose of the experiment, which is to determine whether the mixing of two or more substances results in new substances.
Procedure: The student should describe the steps they took to conduct the experiment. This includes the substances they chose to mix and the safety equipment they used.
Observations: The student should record any observable changes that occurred when the substances were mixed. This could include a color change, the formation of a precipitate, or a change in temperature.
Conclusion: The student should state whether a new substance was formed based on their observations. They should also reflect on their accuracy in…

Instructions You are required to produce a short lab report using the information given in the accompanying document, ‘Lab report assessment_student data’. This document introduces an experiment, and also provides a set of experimental data for this experiment. You are required to use this data to perform steps 8 and 9 of the procedure. This includes calculations of a particular value, and then comparison to the true value. Consider any experimental errors when comparing calculated values and true values. Your report should be between 300 and 500 words (including all table contents and titles of tables and graphs). Your lab report should consist of three sections only: • Experimental • Results and Discussion • Conclusion You do NOT need to include an introduction section. Your experimental section should be written in appropriate lab report format, (passive voice, 3 rd person, in paragraphs). Your results and discussion section should contain the data presented in table format, and…

15. (The following problem is an actual incident) A state pharmacy inspector came to a pharmacy to
assay capsules labeled as "erythromycin 500 mg." When the inspector looked at the formulation
record, erythromycin stearate 500 mg was formulated. The original Rx was written for erythromycin
500 mg. As a result, the pharmacy was fined for misbranding. How bad was the error? Determine by
calculating the percent error.
MWerythromycin = 733.93 g/mol
MW erythromycin stearate = 1,018.4 g/mol
