No semen detected. - Tape-lifts of items examined. o Small glass chips were lifted from item 13(c). Chips designated as item 13(c1). Chips were placed on a separate slide for closer examination later. Glass chips transferred to trace evidence for identification and/or sourcing. Items 14(a), 14(b), 14(c), 14(d), 14(e): - Items all have blood stains. Item 14(c) – shirt was cut apart by medical personnel at scene. The shirt was pieced back together and stapled in place on cardboard. Spatter interpretation will be performed once the autopsy report is received from the medical examiner. Item 23(a), 23(b): - Item 23(a) – Testing of stains on sole negative - Items 23(b) – Fine, cream or light yellow powder on left side of shoe removed for chemical analysis later. Powder designated as item 23(b1). Powder transferred to trace evidence for identification and/or sourcing. o Blood spatter is present near the toe. Spatter samples designated as item 23(b2). Samples sent to serology for identification and/or sourcing. Items 27, 28, 29: - Item 29 – tape lifts from Richard’s body contain a white crystalline powder, brown hairs, and greenish plant fragments. o Crystalline particles collected and designated as item 29(a). Powder transferred to drug chemistry section. o Plant material collected and designated as item 29(b). Plant material transferred to drug chemistry section. o Hairs collected and designated as item 29(c). Hairs transferred to trace evidence. Items 45(a), 45(b), 45(c), 45(d): - Items 45(a) and (b) have no detectable blood. - Item 45(d) – Oily blood spatter detected on shoes. o Samples of oily stains collected for testing later. Oily stain samples designated as item 45(d1). Samples sent to serology for identification and/or sourcing. o No glass chips or fragments detected. o Cream or light yellow powder found during SLM exam. Powder designated as item 45(d2). Sampled and set aside for chemical testing later. Powder transferred to trace evidence for identification and/or sourcing. Items needing further examination have been transferred to their respective lab sections for evidence analysis.
