DAT 520 Module Seven Lab Worksheet Sensitivity Analysis Case Study Overview Now that you have reviewed to do sensitivity analysis in Excel, you will update the Sensitivity Analysis Example spreadsheet that is titled: Worksheet. This spreadsheet is in the Module 7 folder in the DAT- 520 folder on the C: Drive of the uCertify virtual desktop environment. Review the scenario and answer the questions outlined in the Worksheet spreadsheet. Please note: The values under the Assumptions field can not be static. Please use the formulas within each cell. Scenario You are a consultant for the University of Awesome (UA). The university’s chief finance officer (CFO) would like a sensitivity analysis conducted so that UA can try to capture the Best number of students based on revenue. UA has an enrollment (this is what UA Sold) of 800,000 students. The price per course is $1,500. The university has a campus that costs $50.000.000, even though it is an online university. The cost per student is $250, while payroll costs are $20,000,000. Instructions Navigate to the uCertify lab 8.1 Sensitivity Analysis Case Study . Access the uCertify virtual desktop environment and navigate to the C: Drive. Locate the DAT-520 folder in the C: Drive, and open the Module 7 folder. Open the Worksheet spreadsheet inside the Module 7 folder to begin your assignment. Complete the lab following the steps below. Replace the bracketed text with the relevant information. Please note: This assignment will be submitted and graded in Brightspace. 1. Update the spreadsheet’s assumptions field based on the scenario above. Add your name to cell B1. Provide a screenshot. [ 2. Produce the following values within the spreadsheet in cell A21, and type your last name and section number in cell B21. Provide a screenshot of the completed values. [
3. What is the Revenue of UA? [$1,200,000,000] 4. What is the Cost of enrolling students at UA? [$200,000,000] 5. What is the Gross Profit at UA? [$1,000,000,000] 6. What are the Other Costs at UA? [$70,000,000] 7. What is the Operating Profit at UA? [$930,000,000] The CFO is also looking for a what-if sensitivity analysis. UA is thinking about changing the cost of a course. The CFO would like a data table constructed with the following prices: $1,000; $1,250; $1,500; $1,750; $2,000; and $2,250. As price changes, so does enrollment. The CFO advises you to use the following ranges on enrollment: 600,000; 700,000; 800,000; 900,000; and 1,000,000. 1. Construct a data table from the information above.
2. Produce a what-if analysis using the data table feature. Place your favorite food item in cell G4. [ 3. The CFO thinks that enrollment will increase as tuition lowers. What is the profit if the CFO lowers tuition to $1,250 and 900,000 students enroll? [$930,000,000] 4. The CFO found an error in the cost per student; it is actually $500. To make the same profit at $250 cost per student, what would the CFO need to raise the price per course to? [The CFO would just need to add an extra $250 per course to account for the error
