Module 7 Memo MBA 687 Kristen Kemenczky November 4, 2023
To: Vice President From: Kristen Kemenczky HR Consultant Subject: Memo Like any company they need a leadership model. They need to have a plan and goals to meet anything and a way to achieve them. There are 4 behaviors in leadership directive, supportive, participative, and achievement-oriented leadership stated in the business leadership today article. I think every step-in leadership is important as it all ties together and meets the goal. If the company skips something it can cause it not to succeed or more problems later down the road. I believe all 4 of these behaviors should always be encouraged across the company. They all play a very important role and can help change the company for the better if followed. The supportive behavior will go along away with the change as we need to understand and listen to our employees. Listen to the feedback they provide and help them with the change as it will be hard for them. Leaders should work with their employees and see what they know and grow from them as well. Your employees deal with the face of the company and listening to them will help grow you and understand them as well. Always be willing to listen to them as you can help guide them if needed. Coaching and training your employees are very important as this will grow your company. The more knowledgeable your staff is the better the company will succeed. Having a person in charge or the training department for the employees is a good role and starting to help
get everyone on the same track. Roles and communication changes so for this to be someone job would help keep up with the change of staff and all the new hires. Changing leadership is the process of change of leadership within the organization. Such as new leadership, changing roles, or even changing in people. The stakeholder of change is them being impacted by the change. Two different roles but very similar as they both have a change. The change of leaders can help the coach by helping to lead in the new direction the company is taking. Understanding what is changing and getting on board with it and being ready to communicate it. Explaining to anyone in the company about a change can be hard as everyone will have questions, wondering if their job is safe, and why it is going on. Reassuring everyone is the biggest thing you can do as well as communicating the changes and why they are taking place. HR has a big role in any change, whether good or bad. HR can help direct the change especially if it is a police or role change. They can also assure employees that the training will be meet, or the roles that are changing and what to. It will be great to rely on information from others. I wouldn’t count on HR to lead the change, helping they will but to lead it no. I would rather the head manager lead the change as the change will affect more than just HR. A change leader will lead the change as the change facilitator will orchestrate the change. They both have important roles in the change process.
