2 Introduction To begin, I will be conducting research about how and what specific tools will be beneficial to new up in coming fast paced family restaurant. This will include how to find vendors who will supply the food to help fund the restaurant for my restaurant we use US Foods as our food service provider. Therefore, for the contents of this paper I will discuss how US Foods will create a cost to my restaurant for the goods as well as the service that is being provided. Plan Procurement Mangement I will outline and document the process for purchasing different refrigerator equipment and how to set up each piece of equipment in my restaurant. The detail to carefully place each equipment will come to help set up the goods that will be in each area of my restaurant like produce and dry storage (like wrappers for food products). This will help me to determine who will purchase both produce from and the manufacture for the different dry storage products. This will help to fulfill the need for a quick service of food to customers at a rapid pace but still fulfilling the quality customers expect every time they enter our restaurant. “The detailed list of goods, works and services needed to implement the project, along with their estimated cost at the time of project appraisal, is the starting point of the procurement planning process” (Ribiero, 2011). Conduct Procurements and Control Procurements Furthermore, to obtain a seller (delivery company) to deliver products to my restaurant I will examine delivery time as well as cost per delivery. Empirical evidence supporting the beneficial role of supplier integration in the restaurant sector has been produced by effectively integrating suppliers into the purchaser's process, which gives knowledge and information to maximize the internal and external resources of both parties. According to Cho, restaurants may offer competitive prices and a wide range of menu options by being sensitive to sudden changes in demand (Cho, 2019). Once I pick a delivery company in this situation, I feel that US Foods meets all needs and therefore, I will create a contract for my restaurant to sign. The control procurements will be that the delivery company will transfer products into our restaurant twice a week. This will allow for operations at our restaurant to meet my requirement of fulfilling a fast-paced quick service food provider. The legal agreement between my restaurant and US Foods will be a multi-year contract to supply my restaurant this contract will include a contract and the technique for how I want the product to appear once it is delivered to ensure that food safety remains my highest priority. Close Procurement Finally, the close procurement consists consequently, data from close procurements about the assessment of all delivered deliverables and comparison to the contract was incorporated into control procurements (PMI, 2017). I will analyze that the product was delivered by listening to my employees telling when truck came to deliver product for them to put away. This will allow me to hold accountability with my restaurant’s contract if it is not delivered on time. Conclusion To conclude, the role a project manager has on the timeline of projects being completed in the restaurant is crucial to the success of behind the scenes.
