Module 5 2 According to the definition of Social Responsibility: Social Responsibility is the duty of a business to not harm society ("Soomo Leaning, 2023")."Social responsibility" is the notion that companies should be concerned about the welfare of society and mindful of how their actions could affect society as a whole (Soomo Leaming, 2023").Ethical and social good from the perspective of Toms: "We believe in a more equitable. world. That's why we give 45 of profits for grassroots good." [CITATION Tom22 \1 1033] Toms defines grassroots good as "the result of a community mobilizing to address an issue they're all impacted by."[ CITATION Tom22 1 1033 ]. Tom quotes describe their efforts to promote ethical and social good by investing in three key areas and supporting communities, including Black Indigenous People, People of color, LGBTQ+, and Women & girls [ CITATION Tom22 \1 1033]. Which I feel is a great organization. I would love to see the support of animals. One key point I want to address is that Toms has focused on boosting mental health to show how important it is to take the first step toward accessing support. This is important to me. The Body Shop is also an organization that has the highest social and environmental standards. They are 100% vegetarian, strongly against testing products on animals, and support local charities. The Body Shop believes at its core that business can be a positive change in the world and believes that its products empower every person. Adopting socially conscious policies can be a great incentive for people to buy their products. Today. People are becoming more concerned about where and how the products they buy are
Module 5 3 made. People today are actively trying to buy products that responsibly sourced from sustainable products. It became noticeably clear in the last few years. The way we make our products affects the world we live in and people want a better-made product that supports the planet, not destroy it. Which is an ongoing argument. I believe that the SNITU Pet Supply Co. should put into place some changes to how their products are made The SNHU Pet Supply Co. should investigate where their products are manufactured it is my suggestion for a socially responsible policy: The SNHU Pet Supply Company incorporate financial donation to charities that support the health and well-being of animals within the community and the employees of The SNHU Pet supply Company volunteering their time to help these non-profit charities. By giving a financial donation to charities that support the health and well-being of animals within the community, they will be giving to local shelters to facilitate unsheathed pets, support the spay and neutering of domestic dogs and cats, assist the shelters in acquiring food and supplies needed to take care of the homeless pets. When The SNHU Pet Supply Company employees volunteer their time to help non-profit charities, they give back to the communities supporting the company, such as by volunteering for wildlife.
