BITSoM 2 Year Flagship MBA Program Course Outline Course Title: Finance for Global Corporations Faculty: Milind Shrikhande Dates: Nov 30 – Dec 14, 2022 Course Objectives: This course is designed as an introductory course in the financial management of global, nonfinancial corporations and the role of interest-rates and capital-markets in the economy. Topics include the structure and analysis of financial statements, time value of money (using financial calculators), stock and bond valuation, valuation of income-producing assets, the cost of capital and the profitability of proposed investments in fixed assets, risk-return tradeoffs that must be considered in using financial leverage, and methods used in obtaining funds from various capital markets.
