BSBINS501 Implement information and knowledge management systems Case Study 2 2. Provide answers to the following: 2.1 An analysis of how effective the system was in the 3 months since installation. What were the strengths and weaknesses? Strength and Weaknesses: After the installation of KMS that is knowledge management system in the bounce fitness the results were totally different. As it was expected that the knowledge management system is going to bring change of betterment and improvement in the system and that's what happened after the installation and implementation. It was a very great initiative and something very much required for the company. As they were looking forward to enhance the operations and the mechanism of the bounce fitness as well as they were trying to find themselves in an equilibrium condition on the basis of which they can look forward to invest more in the company and keep growing the business. After the installation of knowledge management system the changes which occur were clearly showing that the decision was well taken and is going to be more beneficial in further upcoming days for the company. BSBINS501 Implement information and knowledge management systems As the new management system was introduced that means this might be possible that as an initiative, the company would have left some gaps to be filled but if we talk about the factual and figurative arguments it clearly shows that the loss or weaknesses were not there and if it would be there it must be at very low possibility whereas the strengths of the company were considered as effective working, lesser complains, sustainability, ease of access. As we are talking about the strength so it won’t be justified if we won’t mention the weaknesses which could be somehow the staff at some location were hesitating to understand and gel in with the new management system, the training for the staff was not given regarding the innovation in syste. 2.2 Discuss how effectively the system is contributing to the intended outcomes. Effective System: Personnel-related calls to head office 3 months prior were most likely to be (Cairns 2), (Brisbane 12), (Melbourne 18), (Sydney 9). These statistics shows that there were several queries in the shape of calls were being received by the bounce fitness. It might be regarding any complains, may be regarding any information. Whereas after the implementation of KMS Personnel-related calls to head office were almost to their extinction. People were getting their queries solved by following steps guided by knowledge management system and that score become (Cairns 0), (Brisbane 2), (Melbourne 4), (Sydney 0). If you talk about the performance of KMS in the head office where the bounce fitness was situated basically after the passage of three months there was not a single malfunction came into the site of management which was a very good sign where as in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney just one time malfunction for each city appeared and was resolved very effectively. If we talk about the user friendly nature of KMS we can see very clearly that after a brief survey among the staff most of the findings of survey say that it was very much easy to understand and access to that new management system. On the other hand, taking the suggestion of audience and customers under consideration, the brief survey that was conducted in this regard says that it was very easy for people to use the portal and their accounts. 2.3 Make recommendations for improvements to the system, policy or work practices.
