Written Assignment Unit 1 Nazmus Sakib University of people BUS-4401 Samirah Merritt (Instructor)
I finished the PERMA profiler exam for the workplace on the University of Pennsylvania's website. The exam's findings showed my scores for each of the seven traits at the end. For the first character, Positive Emotion, I received a 9.45 grade, indicating that the model displayed normal conflicting emotions. I scored better than average (7.35) on the engagement question that followed. Engagement shows that I'm passionate about the topic at issue, which is why I'm not worried because it went above and above expectations. Relationships and meaning received the next two highest rankings from me, at nine and ten, respectively. Having good relationships with other people is crucial to being happy and living a decent life. It's also clear from the second critique that I feel like my work has meaning for me. I get a sense of accomplishment when my efforts have purpose. After that, we went on to accomplishments, and I received a 9.67. Given my inclination for obtaining accolades and awards, I was not taken aback by the news that I had received a high ranking in this domain. Moving on, I thought it appropriate to give myself a 9 on the physical health part. Since I'm neither thin nor overweight, I see myself as being in the middle of the two categories, thus that grade is appropriate. On a negative mood scale, I scored a five on average. All living things
naturally experience mood swings from time to time. Finally, in the category of overall workplace wellbeing, I received a score of 10, which is almost ideal. I'm happy with this outcome since it shows that, like most employees, I feel like I belong and am satisfied with my work. I guess I could easily improve that number if I so wished. I can think of a few things that might be expanded but would be too tough to execute. Working on this amazing challenge and learning more about myself was a lot of fun for me. What qualities do I need to develop to realize my potential as a successful Entrepreneur? My capacity to delegate and be patient still needs work. For me, delegating is the most difficult skill to master. Although I'm used to working quickly, things could take longer if you own your own company. There may be a delay in the project itself, in the parts that are delivered, or in the work that other contractors do. You didn't have to worry about these things since, as an employee, you could just go on to the next job. But as a company owner, you have to embrace them and get ready for them right now. Even while I am aware that delegating is necessary to properly fulfill tasks, I personally don't feel comfortable doing so. You may be used to doing most things yourself as a small business owner, but as your company grows, you will need to be able to assign responsibility to people in order to sustain development. It's not always simple, even when I understand that something needs to be done. What methods did I use to arrive at my conclusions? Based on the results of my PERMA profiler, I came to these conclusions. My test results basically indicate that I am obstinate and determined. I so recognize that unless I closely evaluate my shortcomings, I will be destined to failure or, at the very least, witness a stall in the growth of

my business. I've learned that in order to achieve, we have to acknowledge and accept our flaws and work to either minimize or completely eliminate them. What methods will I use to give and receive feedback? As an owner of a business, I value all ideas. I've discovered that getting feedback gives you the ability to get raw data regarding how well you performed. Everyone should be aware of this information, but especially company owners. Positive, negative, or neutral feedback is all basically a reflection of how your consumers view you and your offerings, and it should be taken seriously. I'll provide constructive feedback without alienating or offending my clients, coworkers, or students. Lastly, always keep in mind that strong leaders have the ability to inspire people to collaborate toward a common objective. They boost spirits and self-esteem.
