After reading the assigned reading and other available information carefully, prepare a two-page (double-spaced) essay describing any two (2) personality types and any three (3) learning styles. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a widely used personality assessment tool that categorizes individuals into 16 different personality types based on four dichotomies: Extraversion/Introversion (E/I), Sensing/Intuition (S/N), Thinking/Feeling (T/F), and Judging/Perceiving (J/P) . PERSONALITY TYPES INTJ - The Architect (Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, Judging) INTJs are strategic thinkers who are known for their logical and analytical approach to problem-solving. They are introverted, preferring to focus on their inner thoughts and ideas. INTJs are future-oriented, relying heavily on intuition to anticipate trends and possibilities. They value efficiency and are often seen as visionaries with a strong sense of independence. INTJs tend to be strategic learners who excel in conceptual understanding. They prefer to explore theories and frameworks, engaging in independent study and research. They are likely to appreciate a learning environment that allows them to delve deeply into a subject and encourages critical thinking. The Performer (Extraversion, Sensing, Feeling, Perceiving) ESFP ESFPs are vivacious and extroverted persons who derive pleasure from being the centre of attention. They frequently exhibit spontaneity, residing in the current moment and actively pursuing experiences that arouse their senses. ESFPs possess a strong capacity for empathy and
place great importance on establishing personal relationships, which enables them to effortlessly navigate and adjust to different social environments. Learning Style: ESFPs are experiential learners who thrive in hands-on and interactive environments. They benefit from real-world applications and group activities that allow them to engage with others. Visual aids, role-playing, and group discussions are effective tools for ESFPs to grasp and retain information. LEARNING STYLES Vark Learn (n.d) noted that learning styles refer to the ways individuals prefer to approach learning and acquiring new information. There are various models of learning styles, but for the purpose of this essay, we will consider three: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning. Visual Learning : Visual learners process information best through images, charts, and graphs. They benefit from seeing information in a visual format, such as diagrams or slides, and often have a strong spatial awareness. Visual learners tend to have a good memory for faces and details. In a classroom setting, visual learners might excel in subjects that involve maps, diagrams, or visual representations, such as geography or biology. They may struggle with purely auditory instruction and benefit from written instructions and visual aids. Auditory Learning: Auditory learners learn best through listening. They prefer spoken instructions, discussions, and lectures. Auditory learners often have a strong sense of rhythm and may benefit
