1 Week 4: Midterm Assignment Anthony David BUS 121: Introduction to Business Communications 5/4/2023
2 Week 4: Midterm Assignment Part 1 I often find myself overwhelmed with various tasks and responsibilities, from managing my schedule to organizing my emails and documents. Having a personal assistant would be helpful. A personal assistant provides administrative, organizational, and logistical support to individuals, including executives, entrepreneurs, and celebrities ( Penchev, 2019) . Scheduling appointments, arranging trips, answering phones and emails, organizing papers and paperwork, and managing home or personal responsibilities are all examples of what a personal assistant could perform for an employer. Having a personal assistant would simplify my life. In the first place, it would give me back a great deal of my time and energy, which I could then devote to my career and other matters of importance. I could stop worrying about double booking or missing essential meetings if I had a personal assistant to handle scheduling and organizing my schedule. Similarly, if someone else answered my emails and took my calls, I would be free to focus on more pressing matters. Having a personal assistant would allow me to manage my time better and meet all my obligations. A personal assistant might ensure that nothing slips through the cracks by keeping track of my to-do list and reminding me of forthcoming deadlines or appointments ( Graham et al., 2021) . Paying my bills and keeping tabs on my spending may assist me in maintaining control of my money and achieving my objectives. Regarding the position itself, I would be looking for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and reliable. The person must be able to work independently and collaboratively and have great written and vocal communication abilities. Depending on my
3 requirements, the job might be mostly administrative and organized, but it could also include some personal or housekeeping responsibilities. According to Payscale, a personal assistant in the United States may expect to make a typical annual income of roughly $40,000. Nevertheless, this varies based on the specifics of the position, the market, and the assistant's degree of expertise. Medical coverage, vacation time, and an accommodating work schedule are all possible perks. Working hours would normally be full-time but might be adjusted to meet the demands of the business.
