Introduction
Additionally, there were similarities and differences between works of art in the early stages of the
modern art era. You might examine two very different objects while looking for a shared purpose. Similar
parallels and variations can be found in Henry Matisse's The Joy of Living, Pablo Picasso's Les
Demoiselles d'Avignon, and Paul Cézanne's The Big Bathers. One might also get the conclusion that the
same artist produced these pieces but in slightly different styles. The two earlier works are compared
here to see if they complement and contradict one another at the same time.
When viewing The Joy of Life, naked bodies—mostly those of women—are dispersed in an odd
disproportion with little thought given to spatial awareness. It is really perplexing, but it appears to affect
the order. As they say, anarchy breeds order. The portraits of Matisse have a bright appearance thanks to
the employment of the colors red, orange, and black. Inserted are tiny green notes that represent
existence. Two features that are wholly different from Paul Cézanne's The Big Bathers are the color
palette and the absence of spatial awareness. Cézanne did a good job of helping us understand the scale
and expanse of his drawing, even if his work is even more subdued and low in color.
The front nudists are large and in the middle, with a low, hazy backdrop. You will also see similarities
between the two. The pieces look to be moving, as if there were lots of movement, and the strictly
naked individuals nonetheless give us some relatable traits.

This painting's usage of cubism relates to a number of abstract shapes and patterns that are combined to
convey a story. Why do forms and patterns differ? to allow the spectator to view the same scene from
different angles. Cubism is a collage of different angles and sizes in one picture to give it an otherworldly,
surreal vibe. The Big Bathers, in contrast, are likewise on the Impressionist end of the painting spectrum.
We also frequently drew partially drawn, colored blobs of nude individuals surrounding a water stream.
The individuals' conduct and the paint scheme utilized vary, but aside from that, the naked bodies and
their attention on a specific item (a fruit table or a body of water) are identical in a way that we cannot
rule out. The situation or context in which they emerge is another point of distinction. Picasso hasn't
given his characters a setting or background, while Cézanne has produced an entire scene with depth
perception, vegetation, trees, and what appear to be dwellings in the distance.
Conclusion
All three pieces also show similarities and variations. I assume the ability to comprehend or distinguish
other aspects in different paintings depends on the viewer's perspective. Many people who view the
artworks might not feel comfortable making comparisons, and some people might not see any significant
differences. However, whether you are completely conscious of it or it's only in the back of your mind,
it's important to realize that much of what we say and think is motivated by an outside source.
