1 - What did you learn - in terms of knowledge, skills, or perspectives - in this course? - art! - I learned how to have discourse around western artists starting from Pantheon all the way through Andy Warhol and learned how to identify different works by subject types, styles, and brush strokes. - I learned to look at artworks carefully - The background of western art and architecture and the skill of visual literacy. I can now go to any museum and look and analyze a painting (I didn't have an explicit eye for paintings beforehand). - I learned about the history of Art from Antiquity to Modern Times. - Lots! So much context for art history, and skills to analyze art that I'm sure I'll use for the rest of my life! - I learned how to evaluate and analyze art, identify seminal works of art and architecture, and create works of art myself. 2 - What is your overall assessment of this course?
