Mid Course Reflection 1 Mid Course Reflection Shandria Brown University of Phoenix DHA 715/ Risk Management In Complex Health Organizations Dr. Jennifer Liter January 16, 2024 Mid Course Reflection At the beginning of this course, I had certain misconceptions and doubts about what to expect. These misconceptions were primarily a result of their previous course experience, where any scholar would find themselves without any peers to engage with every week. Naturally, the scholar was concerned that they would find themselves in a similar situation once again, leading to a lack of interaction and collaboration. However, over the past four weeks, I had the chance to have ample opportunities to interact with others and exchange ideas about the course materials. One of the most impactful experiences for the scholar was reading the book, "The Never Event," which served to open their eyes to the various ways in which things can go wrong in a medical practice when accountability is lacking. The scholar was particularly struck by the real-

This realization has sparked a renewed interest in the course materials and a sense of motivation in the scholar to continue learning and growing. Moving forward, the scholar has identified two key areas of focus - APA formatting and utilizing credible sources. The scholar understands that these skills will be essential in their future academic and professional pursuits and is committed to honing these skills through the remainder of the course. Overall, the scholar is grateful for the opportunity to engage with peers and learn from the course materials and is excited to continue their academic journey. References McKnight, E.
