Part II. Portfolio Project Video Reflection
. Once you receive feedback from your instructor and have completed
your Portfolio Project Reflection upload the revised version of your Portfolio Project to your ePortfolio. Submit your Portfolio Project Reflection.
Your Portfolio Project Reflection will be worth 10% of your overall grade.

Scenario: You have recently returned from a vacation during which you had the opportunity to travel abroad. One of your friends, the local librarian, has approached you and asked if you would be willing to share information you learned on your travels with a group of students from the local high school who have an interest in the Arts and Humanities. Possible Research Topics:
Egyptian architecture and music
The mythology, religion, and worship of Mesopotamia
Greek Philosophy
Roman art, architecture, and literature
The Islamic Empire
Medieval Art and the Church
Myths and religions of Western African Cultures
Chinese science and technology
You have been asked to provide your audience with a written version of your presentation that is somewhere between 1,925 and 2,200 words in length (between 7 and 8 pages) and incorporates 5
scholarly, peer-reviewed resources found in the Bryant & Stratton Virtual Library. The librarian has asked you to address or answer the following:
Identify
the historical context of your chosen work.
Identify
and evaluate
ideas and values expressed or reflected in your chosen work.
Analyze and evaluate
the way in which your chosen topic contributed to the meaning of human experience, expressions of social and political events and the development of ancient cultures.
Identify
what was significant about your topic and appraise
the way it contributed to meaning in ancient cultures.
Identify and evaluate
the influence your topic of research had on modern societies?
Be sure the language you use is appropriate for a discussion of the Humanities and your audience.
Also, be sure to format your project according to standard APA guidelines (Note: a table of contents and abstract are not required for this assignment).
Deliverable Descriptions
Week 2: Essential Question Discussion
Understanding how an Essential Question guides the creation of a project is an important skill. The
activity for Week 2 asks you to review some information about Essential Questions, respond to an Essential Question
related to the course outcomes, and formulate some of your own
. Once you have created your essential questions, you will review and respond to the questions created by others. This discussion takes place in your Week 2 Activities folder. Week 4: Annotated Bibliographies For this activity you need to select two articles you have read as research for your Portfolio Project and critically examine
them. Compose
two annotated bibliographies being sure to follow standard APA formatting requirements. Each of your annotated bibliographies should be two paragraphs long. The first paragraph should provide a summary of the information you read and assess the strengths and weaknesses of the article.

Your second paragraph you should provide an explanation for why
you chose that particular article
to read and use in support of your research. If you need assistance with the writing of an annotated
bibliography, please review the links provided in the Week 4 Activities folder.
Week 6: Portfolio Project (Part I) After finalizing your Portfolio Project, upload your project and submit in the Activities folder.
Requirements and Formatting
Your Portfolio Project should meet the following requirements:
APA formatting
Title and References page
Times New Roman or Arial 12-point font
1-inch margins
Page numbers in top right corner
Double-spaced
Your project must be between 1,925 and 2,200 words in length (7-8 pages). Your Title Page, References Page, and Reflection are not to be counted for this part of the assignment.
Week 7: Portfolio Project Video Reflection (Part II)
In a video you will reflect upon the project and how it directly relates to the Bryant & Stratton Workplace Capabilities and Program Outcomes. In the short video you will thoroughly explain your ideas and articulate your thoughts.
