Activity/Provocation Name/Title: Building Blocks Brief Description of Activity/Provocation: Have some blocks on the floor for Veronica and encourage her to stack them on top of each other to create a tower or house. She will develop fine motor skills as she continues to stack and holds the blocks. Her hand eye coordination will eventually improve as she gets the hang of moving the blocks around. Include tunnels to crawl through, cones, hoops, and a zig zag line. She will need assistance to help move through, but this will help improve Veronica balance. Make sure to give him different textures of things. Encourage him to pick them up and arrange them. This exercise will help with fine motor skills and hand eye coordination and cognitive development.
