Morgan Lund I do believe based on the module resources that the early humans during the time period known as then Paleolithic were able to acclimate to the changes of the climate through that of their cultural development in the specific areas that were their diet, their use of shelters and tools as well as the early development of clothing and their use of fire. Furthermore all of these aspects did indeed alter the Humans ability to conform to living in areas that were either exceptionally cold or exceptionally hot no matter what that if their body shapes were or their size. The following are what I created for my speaker notes in regards to the environmental changes that did affect the biological human as well as the cultural evolution during that of the Paleolithic period of time. Point One: The use of fire That of the use of fire in those of the climates that were colder provided the humans a source of warmth, those of the early hominins did establish the source of fire by using pits of charcoal that was then surrounded by stone. Point Two: Changes in Diet That of the heightened brain and the body proportions required that their be more advanced and quality of food. Furthermore that of the erectus H did respond in turn to these pressures that were new by bumping up its reliance more on tools as well as other behaviors that were cultural to be able to increase that of the quality of its diets. (Welsch et al., 2019, p. H64) Point three: The Making of Tools That of the climate change did indeed affect the use of the tools that the early hominins did use when they were in their first expansion from the Africa region over to Eurasia. That of a new tools was introduced the Acheulean, and they did introduce an edge that was better and were more diverse in their styles. “They were likely used to process meat as well as hides and were also most likely used to modify the bones and woods.” (Welsch, et al., 2019, p. 167) Point Four: clothes making
Furthermore the hominins short and fine body hair did not provide that much ad for protection against the element. (Interactive Documentary | Becoming Human, 2019) Those of the early humans had to make clothing that would be able to preserve heat and do it well so that they would be warm during the cold periods. Furthermore since the humans body hair was not protective enough to keep them warm their clothes were most commonly made by animal hides that were used for warmth and protection. Point Five: cooperative behaviors increased Due to the early hominins requirements for more of a caloric intake that of aggressive reparations of breathing drastically increase and so did breastfeeding. “This situation probably did enhance the cooperative behaviors, as the group members did share the responsibilities of caregivers as well as they did collaborate in their foraging tasks.” (Welsch et al., 2019, p. 167) Sources Interactive Documentary | Becoming Human.
