1-1 Discussion: Anthropology Research Methods In this discussion, begin by introducing yourself to the class. Explain your background and what you hope to gain from this course. Imagine you were going to do anthropological research. What would you choose to study and why? Would you choose to work alone or on a team? In response to your peers, discuss any similarities or differences to what they would study. To complete this assignment, review the Discussion Rubric . My name is Jamie Kay Rankin, a divorced 52-year-old, with 1 adult daughter 22 years old stemming from Uniontown, Pennsylvania. I am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a drug and alcohol emphasis. I want to be a drug and alcohol counselor. I want to help others as I have been helped in the past. I will be graduating in March 2024. I would like to have a job as an archaeologist. I think that job would be fascinating. Being able to understand how people lived in a specific time would be interesting. Looking over time and seeing how patterns are changed as well. We would have a better understanding of how our world has been shaped and changed for a better future. I would like to work with a team. I think it would be more fulfilling to enjoy the findings with others.
