Interpretation:

The value of mean and standard deviation by using certain technique are 0.500 and 1.84×103 respectively. The Gaussian statistics is also applied in this method. The number of replicate measurements is to be determined when the standard error of the mean is not exceeded by the value 0.100%.

The following formula will be used for the calculation of the standard error-

sm=sN ........................ (1)

Or,

N=(ssm)2

Here,

sm = standard error of the mean

s = standard deviation

N = sample size or called as number of measurements.
