Introduction:
The knee joint is highly complex and the largest joint in the human body. The knee joint is formed by bones the femur which is the thigh bone, the tibia (shin bone) and patella (knee cap). The knee joint is a hinge joint that produces movements such as flexion, extension, internal and external rotation.
