Whether the following statements are true or false, and if false, correct them to make a true statement:
a. The main action of the zygomaticus major and minor muscles is to pull the corners of the mouth up to produce smiling.
b. The orbicularisoris muscle is located around the eye.
c. The temporalis and occipitalis muscles are attached to each other by the epicranial aponeurosis.
d. The buccinators muscle pulls the cheeks in, producing sucking movements.
Introduction:
Most of the muscles of the face, known as muscles of facial expressions, differ from other muscles in one point that they do not cause any movement at joints but they are attached to the skin or connective tissues. This insertion into the skin is responsible for many actions in the face like smiling, frowning, blinking, winking, surprised expression, and whistling.
