Introduction:

Vectors are the carrier of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) insert thatreplicates itself in an appropriate host cell. The gene insert is integrated into the vector that aims either to obtainthe product or the numerous copies of the DNA insert. LacZ´ gene promotes the selection by cleaving the disaccharide lactose molecule in an operon system. AslacZ´ gene is present in the plasmid of host cell encodes β-galactosidase cleaves X-gal (5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-β-galactopyranoside) and forms blue colonies when grown on culture plate with IPTG (isopropyl-β-D-1-thiogalactopyranoside) as an inducer.
