Introduction: The evolution of primates is a dynamic story. It peaks at different times and places. There are many key events, which took place for the formation of all the major groups of higher primates. This story becomes even more interesting with the appearance of new primates in the late Miocene. The first 50 million years of primate evolution had set the stage for the appearance of human-like new taxa.
