Summary Introduction
To label: The bones that form the orbit of the eye in Figure 9.6.
Introduction: The orbits or the eye sockets are the bony cavities present in the skull and encompass the eyeball. The orbits are cavities with the shape of a pyramid. The orbit of the eye is formed by seven different bones that include the four facial bones and three cranial bones. The maxilla, palatine, zygomatic and lacrimal bones are the facial bones and the ethmoid, frontal, and sphenoid bones are the cranial bones that make up the eye socket.
