Introduction:
The knee joint is the largest joint in the human body and is made of two joints one is the tibiofemoral joint and the other is the patellofemoral joint. The knee joint allows various movements such as running, walking, and kicking. The kicking of a football involves the straightening of the knee, which leads to contraction of the muscles of the thigh. The quadriceps is a group of four individual muscles that includes vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius, and rectus femoris that are involved in extension of the knee.
