Introduction:
A cell grows until it reaches its size limit, then it either stops growing or divides. Most cells undergo division. Cell division helps a cell to reproduce and makes the organism grow and heal certain injuries. Cells reproduce by a cycle of growing and dividing called the cell cycle.

Answer to Problem 14A
Cytokinesis
Explanation of Solution
The sequence of events in the life of a cell is called the cell cycle. There are three main stages of a cell cycle; interphase, mitosis and cytokinesis. Cells grow during interphase and reproduce by mitosis, the process of nuclear division, and cytokinesis, the process of cytoplasm division. The last stage is cytokinesis in which the cytoplasm of the cell divides creating a new cell. Each daughter cell has an identical nucleus. After the last phase of mitosis, microtubules are formed. In plant cells, cell plate is formed dividing the daughter cells. Cell walls are formed on either side of the cell plate. Once the wall is complete two genetically identical cells are formed. In animal cells cleavage furrow forms at the equator of cell by using microfilaments and pinches inward until cell divides into two.

The researcher chooses randomly 400 women to participate in this experiment for 9 months of their pregnancy period. They all need to have the same diet. The researcher designs two groups of 200 participants: One group take the real medication intended to reduce heartburn, while the other group take placebo medication. In this study what are: Independent variable: Dependent variable: Control variable: Experimental group: " Control group: If the participants do not know who is consuming the real pills and who is consuming the sugar pills. This study is It happens that 40% of the participants do not find the treatment helpful and drop out after 6 months. The researcher throws out the data from subjects that drop out.
