Given: Cell cycle is an essential process that takes place in an organism.

Introduction:

The cell-division cycle or the cell cycle refers to the succession of the event, which occur in the cell resulting in its duplication and division of its DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) (DNA replication) to generate two daughter cells. In bacteria, which are devoid of the nucleus, the cell cycle is differentiated into the B, C and D phases. On the other hand, in the cells possessing a nucleus, like in eukaryotes, the cell cycle is differentiated into three phases i.e. interphase, M phase (mitotic phase) and cytokinesis.
