The term dimorphism is renowned for a trait that occurs in distinct forms or one can say morphs among a given species. Sexual dimorphisms are usually traits that can vary consistently among males and females. Sexually dimorphic traits may vary so much between genders that they can be used to reliably distinguish males from females.
