Introduction:

Organizational design is defined as the process by which managers assess the tasks, functions, and goals of the organization, decide about grouping people together to achieve organizational objectives in an efficient manner. There are different types of organization designs like Horizontal and Vertical designs.

In a traditional organization, business is organized in a hierarchical manner. There is a long chain of command delineating authority and decision levels and structures. Information and power flow vertically from top to bottom along with a well-set reporting mechanism.
